Patrolman Paul Matthews Pytel

Sunday, July 31, 1994

Patrolman Paul Pytel drowned while chasing a murder suspect when he was pushed or fell into a river. The suspect was wanted in connection with an earlier shooting.

Patrolman Pytel is survived by his wife, parents, sister, and two brothers.
